There's nothing more fun than exploring new neighborhoods and finding favorite local haunts - and this guide makes doing that easy AND inexpensive! The index by location makes it simple to find the best places to try, wherever you have to be exploring. I also love that the descriptions are both detailed and accurate - so there are no unpleasant surprises. The author has literally thought of everything to help both locals and visitors enjoy the best of the city. Thank you!

I've lived in New York for 10+ years - and never knew about deals like these until finding this book! Great food, great drinks and real deals! Who doesn't like to find new places to go - for free food ($1 oysters) and deals on drinks ($3 beers)? The author provides great reviews that are both insightful and helpful in a clever, easy to read way.
I love it and continue to use it for me and my friends!!! A definite must have for anyone seeking to get the most out of NYC!

NYC can be intimidating for tourists and residents alike because there are just soooo many choices, especially when it comes to eating and drinking. 365 Guide explains it all in an easy to read, easy to follow format. Taking the premise one step further than Zagat, 365 finds the best deals, in virtually every NY neighborhood, for dining and imbibing. I predict this will become the new culinary "bible", not just in NY, but any major metropolitan area. Thank you Monica DiNatale!
The Funnest Guide to NYC yet!, February 15, 2014

I've used several guide books for visiting NYC, but this tops them all! Of all that NYC has to offer, the restaurants and bars are the funnest parts to explore, but it can be easy to get lost in all the choices you have. This book points you to great places to try no matter where you are in the city. The numbered map locations are perfect to locate one close to where you stand. I have tried several places already and they've all been fun, exactly as described, and with great deals. This was a great purchase!
365 Guide New York City, January 3, 2014
By Melanie 5.0 out of 5 stars
Informative and easy to read guide to eating and drinking on a budget in New York City. I love the way 365 Guide New York City is organized. The predominant section of the book lists DiNatale's chosen restaurants/bars in alphabetical order with the following information:
* deals (discounts/freebies)
* tips (brief descriptions of atmosphere/what to order/perks)
* location/contact info/hours of operation
The book also contains multiple indexes. My favorite one is organized by location. This is extremely convenient if you are trying to quickly find nearby bars/restaurants. NYC is huge so the map of the different areas is also helpful. I've been to NYC twice before. I plan on visiting many more times and this book is coming with me!

Wow! Loved this guide. Monica DiNatale does an incredible job of providing a comprehensive list of restaurants, deals, and reviews for New York City. Each restaurant or bar is listed with the address (including neighborhood and public transportation info), hours, contact info, a well-written and personal review, drink or food specials, and any extra insider information.
Each page is simple to scan and you are able to learn everything you would need to know about a place in about 45 seconds. Her reviews read like a good friend letting you in on their favorite spots. Isn't that we all want to have at our fingertips when we are exploring a new city? I'm traveling to New York in February and can't wait to use this guide to help me decide where to eat and drink!

Essential Guide for All New Yorkers & Visitors!!, August 23, 2013
By Gertrude da Goat 5.0 out of 5 stars
The book is a wonderful and essential guide for those of us who visit, live or work in Manhattan. Many times I am looking for new places to check out when I go out to eat, or have a drink or two. As many of you already know, New York City can be pretty overwhelming with all the choices there are for food and drink.
Luckily, "365 Guide - New York City" provides us with a resource that offers readers with an abundance of ideas & choices - while at the same time finding the best bargains in town! (With the money I saved on dining, the book paid for itself on day one!)
The book covers all of NYC - from way up in Inwood, to all the way down to the Financial District. There is a section devoted to seasonal deals and also an index for weekend deals. The book even contains a subway map!! The author has thought of practically everything.

A must have for the NYC traveller!
There is literally something for EVERYONE here! Whether you're on a super duper tight budget, or just want to pinch a few extra pennies to blow at Saks! From gourmet to grilled burgers and everything in between- you can and will find something that meets your budget AND your tastes!
I love the indexes in the back of the book. It's very handy to be able to search by area or to see if it's a pub or restaurant. And the maps- they are a GOD SEND! Especially for the GPS challenged like myself. It's much easier for me to look at the map and say "Oh- OK! Now I see where it's at!" (Don't ask-my brain is just wired weird for some things!)
To be honest- this makes me want to live in NYC so I can try out each and every one of these places! Sadly, I am but a mere visitor. Oh well. Maybe some day!
I highly recommend. Though I would stress, I'd call ahead of time before taking up one of these deals. After all, restaurants/bars are always changing. It'd be a good idea to double check they are still offering these deals and specials before heading out of your way to get them!
PS: Can I have one of these for all major cities? That'd be completely amazing!!!

I won this in a giveaway here on Goodreads and I'm so glad I did. I haven't been to New York but am planning on going. This book is awesome because one of the hardest things about traveling to a new city is not knowing where the good places to eat are. I've been to Italy and we took along a guidebook by Rick Steve and used many of his recommendations for dining and they were all great! I would recommend taking along a guidebook for eating whenever you travel. Even if you don't use it for EVERY meal.
This book is awesome because it's not too big and bulky and won't make you feel like a tourist carrying it around but it is also jam-packed with information! Cool information that I feel like I would never have learned trying to walk around finding a place to eat. All types of food are covered in this book which is also great! The only thing I would maybe like to see is a price guide for these restaurants. Yes, this book does give you a TON of good deals for every one of the 365 restaurants, but it would be nice to know how expensive the places are for items that aren't in a deal.
Other than that, I can't wait to go to New York to try this out. Especially Dive 75, a scuba-themed bar that gives away free candy. That sounds like my kind of place (and yes…I am over 21 and get excited at free candy).

Monica DiNatale is no doubt an expert on dining out in NYC. This guide will make life for first-time NYC travelers a hell lot easier. Swishing through the pages, you’ll find the name of the bar/restaurant, its location, opening hours, contact details as well as why it has been a selected feature.
All selections are numbered #1 – #365, lettered from A-Z, so theres literally a year’s worth of dining options to try. There’s no lack of variety, because most of the featured are bar/restaurant fusion where you can stay on after supper for chilling out with your buddies.
I would love to try #133 George Keeley Fine Ales and Lagers, an Irish Pub on Amsterdam Avenue in the Upper West Side. Free popcorn for all! Plus burgers with sweet potato fries. It’s a New York dream come true.
Smorgas Chef (#273) also sounds like an interesting deal. Swedish meatballs on Hanover Square? It’s Scandinavian date-night-tastic with the upscale bistro ambience.
All in all DiNatale does know how to have fun, and her picks are truly perfect for a complete NYC night-out.

This guide to places to eat in New York City is easy to navigate and gets to the point. I appreciate the included website addresses for each listing. In addition to general information a brief comment about the atmosphere and what is good to try. A relatively inexpensive guide to get you to the good food!

Great book outlining where to eat and drink in New York! I enjoy travelling and often find it hard to venture out to new places to eat because you never know if they are going to be good. I use things such as trip advisor in order to find the best restaurants but really liked this book. Great job! I would definitely consider purchasing books like this for the cities I travel to a lot.
