I find that a smile goes a long way and I always address someone like Monsieur or Madame. Call the phone numbers you were given, as some people are willing to make an appointment with you to get the documents, saving time on how often you need to go to that address. Each process server has its own system, find one that works for you and makes your job easier. I archive all my annotations by zip code and serve those areas at the same time, so I don`t run from one side of the city to the other. But what works for me may not work for you. Be diligent, which is now much easier with the updated ABC Legal Mobile app. I went to a house and the lady who opened the door was probably in the late 70s or early 80s and after we realized this service wasn`t for her, she started telling me about her girlfriends and how they go fishing a few times a month and where they were going to fish and asked, to join them. Not crazy, but very cute. Nina: I`m always very aware of my surroundings, I never leave my vehicle unlocked and I never look into a dead end. When I`m in an area known to be less safe than others, I always let someone know where I am.

Nina: As a process server, technology makes the job easier. The new features of the ABC mobile app are excellent. My favorite feature is routing, it makes planning your day much easier by allowing you to choose the ones you want that day. The sort function makes my job much easier. For example, if I have more than 30 servings, I sort them by zip code and do that whole section at once. Technical upgrades to the application have also made documenting and performing the recovery of service more efficient and easier. Nina: There are no licensing or registration requirements to become a process server in Alabama.
